Elite creatures are stronger versions of normal monsters marked by stars. Higher stars mean tougher fights and better reward potential. Bosses can also spawn with elite stars.

Kill bestiary creatures
Elite spawns are tied to monsters that belong to the bestiary system.
Roll for an elite spawn
After a valid kill, the next spawn has a base chance to become Elite.
Fight by star tier
Elite I, Elite II, and Elite III each have distinct power levels and loot behavior.
Earn better rewards
Elites can give extra gold, stronger loot chances and Surprise Bags.
Elite Tiers and Eligibility
Rule How it works
Elite tiers Elite I (1 star), Elite II (2 stars), Elite III (3 stars).
Valid monsters Must be a Bestiary monster. Summons and already-elite creatures do not trigger new elite rolls.
Party eligibility Shared Experience must be active. Members must deal or receive damage to qualify for elite rolls.
Party stage logic The highest relevant Bestiary stage among party members may determine star chances.
Spawn Chances by Bestiary Stage

Once at least one Bestiary stage is completed, each kill has a 2% chance to initiate an Elite spawn.

Stage Star Distribution
First stage completed 100% Elite I
First and second stages completed 66.6% Elite I, 33.3% Elite II
Fully completed 60% Elite I, 30% Elite II, 10% Elite III
Cave Rat Elite 3

When triggered, a totem appears as a warning, indicating that an Elite creature will spawn shortly.
